William "Bill" C. Hayes, Jr., 77, of Collinsville, Ill., born Sunday, March 6, 1938, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill. William worked as an assistant manager in maintenance and engineering for the Federal Reserve Bank, St. Louis, Mo. He was a member of East Lodge 504 AF&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, Ainad Shrine, Provost Guard, St. Clair County Genealogical Society, Son's of the American Revolution, American Legion Post 365 of Collinsville, VFW Post 5691 of Collinsville. Bill was a United States Navy veteran serving in the Vietnam War era and also a retired Army National Guard veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Mary Venice, nee Barbee, Hayes, Sr.; and a brother, Walter Hayes. Surviving are his wife, Patricia, nee Rushing, Hayes of Collinsville, Ill.; children, William C. (Lubie) Hayes, III of Granite City, Ill., Steven Hayes of Fairview Heights, Ill., Ronald (Tina) Hayes of Venus, Texas, Donald Hayes of Fairview Heights, Ill., Pamela (Jim) Seipp of O'Fallon, Ill., Judy Hayes of Collinsville, Ill., Christy (Tom) Glauber of St. Louis, Mo., and Frank Rickert of Port Charles, La.; a sister, Virginia A. (James) Braml of Somerville, Texas; many nieces, nephews, sister and brother-in-law, cousins, and friends. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital or donor's choice.
