Ashton - Charles Alfred Black, 74, died in the Colleton County Hospital early this morning after an extended illness.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning in the Fairfax Cemetery. Friends may call at the Peeples Funeral service in Hampton until the hour of service.
Mr Black was born in Barnwell County April 1, 1879, the son of the late W S and Elizabeth Fennell Black.
Survivors include two brothers, James F Black and G W Black, both of Ulmers; three sisters, Mrs B B Brant of Ulmers and Mrs C R Jones and Mrs J N Jones of Ashton.
