Services for Charles Kevin McMullen, 52 of Kennard, will be held in the Calvary Nogalus Baptist Church with Bro. James Whittlesey and Rev. Max Reynoldds officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Nogalus Prairie, TX.
Charles Kevin McMullen was born May 21, 1962 in Charleston, South Carolina to Bobbie Duncan and Arlzie (Pal) McMullen and passed away peacefully May 15, 2015 under the care of Hospice in the Pines in Lufkin, Angelina County, Texas.
Kevin graduated from Apple Springs High School, attended Sam Houston State University and then joined the United States Navy and served from 1984 to 1988. After his discharge, he attended Angelina College and received his paramedic degree. He worked five years as a paramedic and then attended Angelina College and earned his phlebotomy certification. He became a lab technician at CHI-St. Luke in Lufkin. He enjoyed watching movies, reading books, and dressing up. He was a kid at heart, fun-loving and he loved Halloween.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Bobbie McMullen; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brian McMullen and Merleice, David McMullen and Carmen; nieces, Emma and Samantha McMullen; Jamille Guarra; brother-in-law, Gary Letney; nephews, Justin and Clinton Carter; and many other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arlzie (Pal) McMullen and sister, Karen Carter-Letney.
