Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with Arvia Willingham, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Miss Vaughn was born July 4, 1975, in Lubbock. She had been a lifelong resident of Pampa where she graduated from Pampa High School in 1993. She received a B.S. degree in sociology with a minor in criminal justice at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1998.
She was employed as a social worker at CPS from 2000 to 2003. She was currently employed at the Baten Unit where she was a parole officer. She was a member of First Baptist Church and of environmental organizations. She was an avid writer and a lover of animals and music.
Survivors include her parents, Mike and Rebecca Vaughn of Pampa; a sister, Kimberly Vaughn of Pampa; a brother-in-Law, Chris House; her maternal grandmother, Pat Griffin of Pampa; aunts and uncles, Jo Walker of Amarillo, Betty and Brad Bradford of Pampa, Llwlyn Walker, David and Judy Vaughn and Larry and Donna Vaughn, all of Lubbock, Joyce and Pete Boehler of Oklahoma City, Lanelle and Wyman Owens of Bonham and Pat Clifton of Mobile, Ala.; a nephew, Grayson M. Vaughn of Pampa; and many cousins.
The family suggests memorials be to CASA of the High Plains, 600 W. Francis, Pampa, TX 79065.
