Everett Gibson, 74, of Litchfield, formerly of Springfield and Auburn, died at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday at his home.
Mr. Gibson was born in Kentucky and was a former section foreman for the GM&O Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Railway Employees.
Surviving are his widow, Mary M.; four sons, Albert Gibson of Chicago; Eugene Gibson of Auburn, Francis Gibson of Springfield; and Fred Gibson of Litchfield; four daughters, Mrs. Audrey Bess of Maryville; Miss Elsie Gibson of Nachusa, Miss.; Miss Nora Jane Gibson and Mrs. Dorothy Hubbard, both of Springfield; mother, Mrs. Charity Gibson of Burnside, Ky.; three brothers, Jesse of New Castle, Ind.; Arthur Gibson of Burnside, Ky.; and Gilbert Gibson of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Jannie Brownzwick of Wheatfield, Ind.; Mrs. Addie Brown of Burnside, Ky.; one step-son, Jack Logsdon of U.S. Navy and 11 grandchildren.
