Eugene T. Stephens of Jackson, passed away May 15, 2015, at the age of 78. Mr. Stephens retired after 30 years of service from Southern Bell in 1991. Following his retirement, he owned and operated Stephens Auto Service for 8 years, then drove a truck for Harland Stone for 2 years. He loved his family, friends and puppies dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lottie Kate Yarbrough Stephens; sisters, Maebell Britt, Janet Rylee, Barbara Bagwell and nephew, Tony Britt.

Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Vivian J. Stephens; siblings and spouses, Billy and Diane Stephens, Tommy and Merle Stephens, John and Ginger Stephens, Richard Stephens, Francis and W.C. Farmer; numerous nieces and nephews; two God-children, Angela (Angel) Jenkins Evans, James H. (Little Jim) Jenkins, Jr.; life-long friend Dorothy Jenkins; sisters-in-law, Martha Pulliam, Nita Lunsford, Patsy Cook; brothers-in-law, Dr. Fred Cook and Fred Ingram.

Funeral Services for Mr. Stephens will be held, Monday, May 18, 2015, 3:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Rex Allen officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, May 17, from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Monday, May 18, from 1:45 - 2:45 P.M. prior to the service.
