Elizabeth Hoppe
Elizabeth Hoppe died Friday in Corvallis at the home of her daughter.
She was born July 4, 1900, at Kuracheka, Odessa in Russia.
In 1909 she immigrated with her family to Martin, N. D., and in 1914 the family moved to north Phillips county in Montana. She married Carl Hoppe in 1917 at Havre, where the couple resided and raised their five children.
Mrs. Hoppe was active in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Women's Society and school organizations.
She moved to the Bitterroot Valley in 1968.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1960; by a son, Robert in 1977; and also by a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include three sons, William Hoppe of Whitefish, Frank Hoppe of Havre, and Walter Hoppe of Spokane; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Murphy of Corvallis; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3:30 Tuesday at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Pine Hollow Road in Stevensville. Cremation has taken place and the cremains will be interred in Havre Cemetery on Friday.
