Janice S. Archer, 86, of Little Rock went to Glory on May 15, 2015, with her beloved children by her side. She was welcomed into Christ's Kingdom by her husband of almost 50 years, James D. Archer Sr., her parents Junius and Juddie Wheeler Smith, brother James, and a host of family and friends who went on before her.
Jan loved the Lord and it was in His service that she selflessly and without ceasing gave back to her family, her church, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. During her years with the DAVA, she served as state commander and National Second Vice Commander and was in line to be National Commander before having to give up her post to care for her ailing beloved Jim. Known for her quilting, she was always working on a new quilt for the DAV and could be found quietly volunteering at the VA Hospital or Immanuel Baptist, her church of 50+ years.
