Seavy Bryant of Wilmington, NC, passed away on May 14, 2015, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born on May 20, 1932, in Fayetteville, NC and was raised in the Stedman and Cedar Creek area.

Seavy served in the 82nd Airborne. He moved to Carolina Beach in 1953, where he was a volunteer fireman. He owned and operated Bryant Painting Co. for 45 years until his retirement in 2008. After he retired, he was able to spend even more time doing some of his favorite things, which included reading, watching sports, and attending any event in which his grandchildren were involved. One of his favorite things was starting his day at the Sawmill Restaurant with the wonderful staff and his dear friends at "table 17". He attended Masonboro Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Robert Bryant and Margie Wheeler Bryant, his brother Adolph, and his son Joe.

He is survived by his loving wife Jo Ann Smith Bryant, his daughter Toni Bryant, his daughter Denise Finberg and her husband Micheal, and his two beloved grandsons Garrett and Zachary Finberg.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at 1:00pm at Oleander Memorial Gardens with Dr. Gordon Wright and Reverend Larry Knowles officiating.
