Mrs. Lorene Ragsdale Burns, age 91, of Celtic Lane, Blairsville, GA, formerly of Decatur, GA, passed away, Thursday, May 7, 2015, at her son’s home following an extended illness. She was born January 1, 1924, in Dallas, GA to the late Robert and Claudia (Lester) Ragsdale. Mrs. Burns was a loving mother and grandmother, and loved Gardening. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Burns in 1954. Mrs. Burns was a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church in Conyers, GA.
Survivors include her children, sisters, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 11, 2015, at 7 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 12 noon in North Atlanta Memorial Park in Doraville, GA. The family received friends at the funeral home, Tuesday evening, from 5 until 7 p.m.
