A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Happy Home Congregational Christian Church in Ruffin, with Rev. Bruce McBride presiding. Visitation will take place afterward at the church.
Susan was born on June 6, 1959 in Rockingham County to the late Claude Eldridge Gammon, Sr. and Dorothy Hilde Powell Gammon.
Susan enjoyed researching her genealogy and gardening. Her greatest treasure was being around her grandkids, which affectionately referred to her as Nannie. She was also predeceased by three brothers: Claude Gammon, Jr., David Gammon, and Ted Gammon, and one sister Diane Hooker.
She is survived by three daughters: Misty Rose, Sarah Thurman, and Mara Thurman, all of Ruffin; and two grandchildren: Trinity Rose and Chloe Aguayo.
