Albert Bluett was born in a Montana mining town and lived mostly in San Jose, California. He graduated from Stanford University in 1928 and worked at PG&E (the Bay Area gas and electric utility). He was active in Masonic service organizations. He married Kathryn M. Kennedy in August 1934, and they had no children.
