Martin "Marty" Carpenter, 46 of Baytown, Texas went to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 10, 2006 surrounded by his loved ones. He entered this life on August 24, 1959 in Shreveport, LA to Edwin and Dorothy Carpenter. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He was an operator for BP Amoco for 21 years. He was a loving, devoted husband, son, brother, dad, uncle and paw-paw. His greatest joys in life were spending time with his grandchildren, love for Nascar, and especially volunteering with his grandson Gabriel's Cardinal T-Ball Team.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Dorothy Carpenter, Gabriel and Maria Salinas and brother-in-law Gabriel Salinas Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years Helen S. Carpenter, daughters; Cathy Capetillo and husband Justin Malone, Danielle Guzman and husband Michael of Baytown, Texas and Christi Walker and husband Scott of Dickinson, Texas, son; John Capetillo and Brandi Langley of Baytown, Texas, sisters; Barbara Todd and husband Wayne of The Woodlands, Texas and Carol Ethridge and husband Ray of Chapel Hill, Texas, brother and sister-in-laws; Gene and Gloria Salinas of Atasocita, Texas, Fernie and Dorothy Salinas, Sonny and Mona Salinas and Jimmy Hollis and Linda Salinas all of Baytown, Texas, uncles; Alton and Betty Carpenter of Austin, Texas, Tony and Mary Rodriguez of Baytown, Texas and Richardo and Lupe Salinas of Odem, Texas, grandchildren; Gabriel Capetillo, Kenady Irwin, and Madisyn Guzman and Raithen and Raegan Malone.
