Luther Pomroy Bryson was born June 27, 1889, in Woodruff, a son of Samuel Bryson and Tryphena Fairchild Bryson. His parents were among the first settlers of Woodruff. Luther was the youngest of nine children. He had four brothers; John, Charles, David and Wilford and four sisters; Sarah, Eliza, Ellen and Margaret.

Luther married Eliza Catherine Walton in the Salt Lake Temple on February 13, 1913. They lived all of their married life at Woodruff except for a few years just after their marriage. Luther and Catherine (or Katie as she is known) had five children; Althea, Zerea, Chester, Carlyle and Kay.

After finishing the schooling available in Woodruff, Luther attended school at Paris, Idaho. He has always been active in the Church having served in all the organizations, the longest being as superintendent of the Sunday School, serving for over 30 years. He also served as Ward Clerk.

He was active in theatrical work, helping to produce and acting in stage plays for many years. He has held positions in irrigation and stock associations.

He was janitor of the Woodruff Church for many many years.

Died 25 November 1976 at his home in Woodruff.
