Lola Mae Adams, 92, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Thursday, January 8. She was born in Leedey, Oklahoma to John Wade and Thelma Christine (Nowell) Quattlebaum.

She lived in in Leedey, Oklahoma, Porterville, Buttonwillow, Woodville, and Springville, California until 1991 when she moved to Sweet Home. Lola was the owner of a country store and a dress shop manager. She retired from working at Bank of America and sold real estate in California before coming to Oregon.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the International Arabian Horse Association, and the Sweet Home Garden Club. Lola enjoyed gardening, genealogy, raising Arabian horses, lapidary, philately, and numismatics.

Lola is survived by: her children, Jack Adams of Sweet Home and Edith Raymond of Hilmar, California; siblings, Mary Harmon of San Francisco, California and Hazel “Kurla” Fry of San Jose, California; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Adams (2006).

A graveside service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 17, at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
