FAULKNER, Shirley A. (Christman) age 79 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday August 18, 2011 at Spring Creek Nursing Center following a lengthy illness. She was born January 20, 1932 in Dayton, daughter of the late Louis F. & Grace (Herrel) Trushel. Shirley retired as manager of the Cassel Hills Golf Course Restaurant; was a former employee of the American Legion Post #668 and attended Amvets Post #99. She was also a "regular" at Jims Donut Shop. Shirley was preceded in death by her 1st husband Jerome Christman and her 2nd husband Phil Faulkner Sr. She is survived by one son Terry (Pamela) Christman of Vandalia; 4 grandchildren Stacey, Louis, Shawn, and Matthew; 3 sisters Ruth (George) Reier of Winchester, VA, Dorothy (Parkie) Scott of Oregonia, Betty Rifner of Dayton, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
