LoRen "Loie" Watson Snow passed away at home. She was born in St. George, Utah to Daniel Clark Watson and Anna Hess Milne.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil C. Snow, MD; three grandsons, Richard Russell, Quincy Madsen, and Scott Rice; her sister, Wetona "Toni" Edwards; and one brother, Leon Watson.

In 1937, she married her childhood sweetheart, Virgil Snow.

After World War II, she and her husband moved to Fresno in 1948 where he started his Ophthalmology practice. Loie and Virgil loved to travel with their family and traveled extensively seeing all the wonders of the world.

All of her life she was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many capacities as a teacher, Ward Relief Society president and Stake Relief Society President. She and her husband served a mission for the Church in Baton Rouge, La. She wrote and directed many musicals, roadshows, and stage productions throughout her life. Her most memorable was "The Music Man" at the Fresno Memorial Auditorium in 1979.

She is survived by her son, Richard "Pepper" Snow and his wife Dianne; her daughters, Tiffany Madsen and her husband Dick, Toni Johnson and her husband Chris, and Sydnee Russell and her husband Dana; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and a brother, Daniel Watson.

The funeral service will be held at the Fresno LDS Stake Center, 5665 N. Cedar Ave., Fresno, Ca. on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be in St. George, Utah.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the LDS Missionary Fund; or the LDS Perpetual Education Fund, c/o LDS Philanthropies, 15 E. South Temple St. #2E, Salt Lake City, Ut. 84150.
