Marian E. Harris, 94, of Normal, passed away at 4:43 a.m. May 8, 2015, at Heritage Health in Normal.

Marian was born April 9, 1921 in Troy, a daughter of George A. and Berneice E. Paust Wilhelm. She married Russell S. Harris on June 27, 1943 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Nelson Wilhelm.

Surviving are two sons, James E. (Martha) Harris and Robert D. (Janet) Harris; two daughters, Beth Ann (David) Grossman and Georgia Lou Harris; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, including two sets of triplets; two sisters, Elsie Hinds and Elden Mae Romine and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marian was a farm wife. She was featured in Family Circle magazine and was a published author for her baking and homemaking.

She was a member of St. Luke Union Church, Martha Circle and Bible class. Marian served on the church council, was a Sunday school teacher and did much volunteer work in the church and community. She was a member of McLean Homemaker’s Extension, served on 4-H council and a 4-H leader for 20 years. She touched many lives.
