Mrs. Bond was born July 6, 1879 in Edwards county, the daughter of Isaac and Mary Reid Smith. She spent her entire active life in the West Village community. She was married in 1901 to Enos Bond, who preceded her in death in 1956.
A son, Hubert, passed away in 1955.
Surviving are a daughter, Allene Broster; a son, Elmer; a step-daughter, Edna Colyer; a sister. Ada Anderson; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a niece and two nephews.
She was a member of the East Village, Albion and West Village
churches and served as a teacher of young people and organist at West Village in earlier years.
