Karen L. Pierce was called to the Lord's presence on Tuesday afternoon, May 12, 2015 at 1:45 p.m. She was 76 years old. She was born on February 18, 1939. She was the daughter of Richard and Mildred (Forsythe) Williams. She was a graduate of Fairview High School in Dayton 1957, Christ Hospital in Cincinnati 1960, and received her Bachelor's of nursing from THE Ohio State University in 1962. On April 27, 1963 she was married to Samuel L. Pierce and they just recently celebrated their 52nd anniversary. Among Karen's favorite volunteering missions were Pregnancy Decision Health Centers, teaching Sunday school for 43 years, hosting Bible studies, and delivering meals for those in need. Even though she has gone to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, hers is a legacy that will stand the test of time. She is survived by her husband, Samuel; and children, Athena, Stephen, Derek, Joel, Alex, and Douglas; grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Zachary, Kristi, Tyler, Seth, Sean, Jacob, Abigail, Ben, Elizabeth, Jonas, Josiah; and her younger sister, Lynn Mooney.
