Danny Reid, 54, of Gainesville, MO passed away on November 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born on March 20, 1959 in Ellington, MO, the son of Elbert Frank and Wilma Lucille (Wagner) Reid.
Danny worked for eleven years at Mound City Grocery in St. Louis, MO. He moved to Ozark County where he met and fell in love with Ila Strong, and the two have enjoyed 17 wonderful years together. They were united in marriage on October 26th of this year. Danny worked for the past 17 years at Ti Trailers in Midway, AR. He loved collecting and building old cars, enjoyed camping trips, and he made the best barbeque ever. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents Elbert Reid and Wilma Earls. He is survived by his wife, Ila Reid; his children Jennifer Marie Reid Tarwater and Shannon Rene Reid; grandchildren Nathan Ryan Reid, Jada Elizabeth Reid, Matthew David Reid and Mia Ruth Reid; his brothers Randy Reid, Paul Earls and Jim Walker; his sister-in-laws Lisa Earls, Kelly Reid, Deb Walker, Barb Larmore, Louise Kerley, Kathy Pace and husband Murrill, Pam Anderson and husband Charles; nieces and nephews Brandon Earls, Mark Earls, Meaghan Li, Kerri Reid and Michelle Pippett; aunts Velma Shipley and husband Judd, Virginia Johnson and husband Bob; step children Tracy Strong and wife Yvonna, Lacy Strong; one step grandson Kella Strong; and many cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2013 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Halbert Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Faye Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from Noon to service time at the funeral home.
