Guy P. Gorman, 87, of Evansville passed away Tuesday May 12, 2015 at Evansville Protestant Home. He was born on October 26, 1927 in Evansville to the late William and Gertrude (Scott) Gorman.
Guy worked for A & H Trucking then Wilson Freight for 10 years and retired from Local Teamsters 215. He drove a school bus for 9 1/2 years for West Side Consolidated School. He was a member of the Knight's of Columbus, St. Benedict Cathedral and was past president of the Eagles 427. Guy enjoyed taking his family on frequent camping trips.
Guy was preceded in death by his wife Leona (Kuntz) Gorman; parents; brothers, Bill, Richard, Harry, Bob and Herb Gorman; and sisters, Willa Blaha and Mary Louise Zander.
He is survived by his sons, Pat Gorman (Judy), Dan Gorman (Debi) and Wayne Gorman (Connie) all of Evansville; daughters, Terry Pea (Rance) of Wooster, OH, Rita Gorman of Evansville, Mary Maudlin (Sherrill) of Evansville and Trinita DeTalente (Tubby) of Evansville, grandchildren, Tom, Paul, Andy, Danny, Julie, Vickie, Wayne, Jr, Teresa, Brittni, Reanna, Mark, Alyssa and Logan; 19 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Peterson of Sun City, CA; brothers, Leroy Gorman (Carol) and Tom Gorman of Kansas City, MO and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 7:00 pm Friday May 15, 2015 Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 with a memorial service at 6:00 pm.
Funeral service will begin at 8:30 am Saturday at the funeral home and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at Saturday May 16, 2015 at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 with Fr. Godfrey Mullen officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
