Worcester - At his residence in the Village of Momence, on Sunday, Jan. 30, Horatio D. Worcester, in the 47th year of his age.
Mr. Worcester was born in Rutland, Vermont, in the year 1833. In the year 1856 he emigrated to Momence and has resided here ever since. Mr. Hannibal Worcester, his brother, came to Momence in 1855 and his brother, Julius, his sister, Mrs. Ballard and his mother, Eunice, who was a widow, now deceased, came sometime afterward.
On April 14, 1861, Mr. Worcester married Helen M. Strunk and she now survives him. He was taken sick on Jan. 13, and was in a very serious and dangerous condition from the very first.
The funeral was held at his residence on Tuesday at one o'clock. After the services at the house the remains were taken charge of by his Masonic brethren and conveyed to the Momence cemetery and buried with Masonic honors.

H. D. Worcester, of Momence, familiarly known as "Kite" died this past Sunday after about two weeks of illness. He was about forty years of age, and had lived in Kankakee county about twenty five years. Being buried under the suscipes of the Masonic Order on Tuesday morning. Rev. Mr. Phillip preached the sermon.
