Age 93, died Wednesday May 13, 2015 at Kimberly Assisted Living. He was born in Appleton on August 6, 1921 to the late Albert and Sophia (Hopfensperger) Vanden Boogart. In his younger days, Harold played accordion at various clubs with Gene Verstegen. He worked at the Big Shoe Store for many years and retired from Prange’s. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his children: Dennis Vanden Boogart and Shirley Zinda; son-in-law Bill White; and sisters Evelyn (Heini) Jansen and Delores (Arvin) Meltz.
