Mary Hannah Dean, daughter of Charles and Mary Cope Dean, married John Melvin Cornia on November 2, 1887 in the Logan Temple. They had nine children, all born in
Woodruff.

Mary Ann was very a faithful choir member for a very long time. She was president of Religion Class for several years. She would churn butter to take to the store for groceries. She was a very particular house keeper. She had a stroke about 1903 and was never very strong after. She also had dropsy and couldn't get around very well but she would go around on her knees to dust her furniture. She died October 22, 1923, at Woodruff.
