Lloyd P. “Jake” Dawson, 74, of Brighton Township, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Friendship Ridge with his sons at his side.

Born September 25, 1940, in Ohioville, a son of the late F. Glenn and Mary C. Young Dawson, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a 1958 graduate of Lincoln High School, Midland, and a graduate of the former Allegheny Technical School. He retired in 1996 after 34 years as a Customer Service Engineer for IBM, Pittsburgh.

Preceding him in death, besides his parents, were his wife, Bonnie K. (River) Dawson; a granddaughter, Kaylee; three sisters, Bernice May Dawson, Hazel Givens and Janet Petz, and a brother, Frederick Dawson.

He is survived by three sons, Mark, Vanport; Doug, Beaver, and Jeff, Vanport; two brothers, Robert (Virginia) Dawson, Midland, and Donald (Norma) Dawson, Beaver; a sister, Linda (Patrick) Lomagro, Industry, and two grandchildren, Alexis and Lena.

Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the NOLL FUNERAL HOME INC., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Beaver Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
