Sally Ann Wharton passed away at home in Halsey, Oregon on February 23, 2015. She was born to Thomas and Nefton Peterson on May 19, 1932 in Neola, Utah.

Sally married Don Stout in 1950. They lived in Ogden and Liberty, Utah, where their two children were raised. Don and Sally later divorced.

She married Dale Fisher in 1980. Dale passed away in 1992.

Sally married Nathaniel (Nate) Wharton on April 23, 1994. Their marriage was sealed in the Logan Temple on April 23, 1997. Nate and Sally raised two of Nate’s grandchildren, Amber and Andrew, after their mother was killed in an automobile accident.

Sally was a member of the Daughter of Utah Pioneers and the Altrusa International Club of Ogden, Utah. She also did a lot of volunteer work, which included a ‘Pink Lady” at the McKay Dee Hospital and the Blood Drive for the Red Cross.

She was preceded in death by her mother Nefton Albiston, her father, Thomas Peterson, brothers JO. Peterson, Pat Peterson, and Kelly Albiston.

Sally is survived by her husband Nate, two children Jim and wife, Betty Stout, Gwen and husband, Mike Mackessy, her sister Bobbie and husband Kent Butters; seven step children; Nate’s children, Craig and Michael, Dale’s children, Jody, Lindy, Becky, Richard and John.

Interment Malad, Idaho Cemetery.
