Mrs. John Aude passed away at her home in Fairbury, Nebr., Sunday, January 30, 1944 at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 14 days.
Wilhelmina Sophie Warnke was born August 11, 1867 in Germany. On November 1, 1887 she married John Aude and they came to the United States locating on a farm near Reynolds, Nebr., June 16, 1903. The family later moved to the Gladstone vicinity where they were faithful members of the East Gladstone church. In 1927 her husband retired from farming and they moved to Gladstone, Nebr. Since the death of her husband in June 1933 she has made her home with her son, Paul, spending part of the time at Gladstone and Gurley, Nebr., and she recently moved to Fairbury.
She is survived by two sons, Ernest Aude of Gladstone, Nebr., and Paul of Gurley, Nebr., by three grandchildren, one great grandchild and one sister, Mrs. Robert Sauer of Ogallala.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the East Gladstone church with the pastor, Rev. Alexander Greeb, officiating. Pallbearers were John H. Schoenrock, Gus Schoenrock, W. T. Schoen, Charles Starck, Ernest Kriesel and Theodore Dux. Burial in the church cemetery.
