Death Wins Long Battle With Illness
William H. Richardson passed away Sunday morning at 5:45 o'clock. His funeral was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from Diffenderffer's undertaking parlors. The funeral ceremonies were conducted by the Rev. William Miedema of the Presbyterian church.

Interment was made in the Masonic cemetery. The pall bearers were Tom Turbett, William Dobbins, Ray Snively, Earl Ruggles, Budd Hixon and Harry Bithers.

Mr. Richardson had been ill for four or five years and had gone to various parts of the state in the hope that the changes of climate might help him, but without avail. He was 44 years old and was born March 10, 1874, at Carpinteria, a son of Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Richardson. He came to this section with the family 28 years ago and his home had been here ever since with he exceptions of the times he was away because of his health.

He was married December 20, 1900 to Miss Emma Cook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Cook. His wife and their one son, Henry, 17 years old survive him.

His mother, Mrs. H.C. Richardson, also survives him and four brothers and two sisters: John V. Richardson, Olinda, Herbert C Richardson of Los Gatos, Arthur R. Richardson of Camp Kearny, Albert D. Richardson of Zelzah, Mrs. Lucy Cox of Zelzah, and Mrs. W. C. Reno of Oxnard.
