Kevin William Byrd, 51, of Salem, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Kevin was born on March 26, 1964, in Panorama City, California. He moved to Dallas in 1979 when his family bought the Dallas bowling alley and he attended Dallas High School. A year later the family moved to Salem and Kevin entered McKay high school where he graduated in 1982.

Kevin was a glass man. He installed residential and auto glass for a living and loved it. He worked in Salem for A&G Glass and Mirror as well as for Dallas Glass. He really enjoyed pointing out the projects that he worked on to others that were lucky enough to be with him.

Kevin was really good at and loved to bowl. He even achieved a 300 game, the highest score possible, at Town and Country Lanes in Keizer. He also loved his car. Kevin had a 1967 Camaro that he cherished and regretted the day he sold it. He bought it when he was 16 and babied that car like it was treasure.

Kevin never had any children of his own, but had five nieces that he loved very much. He kept their photos in a special place and thought of them often. Kevin is survived by his parents, his sister and her husband, as well as by his brother and his wife Kevin will be missed by his family and friends and will be interred at City View Cemetery in Salem.
