Richard J. Corkrean, 60, of Winterset died Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Rich was born on Nov. 30, 1954, at Winterset, Iowa, to Gene and Shirley (Palmer) Corkrean.
He grew up in Madison County and had been a lifetime resident. Rich was a 1973 graduate of Winterset High School.
He was married on June 6, 1981, at Winterset to Jana Moore. To this union were born three children.
Rich had been the facility manager at the Madison County Memorial Hospital for 28 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Winterset Airport Authority Board, and was a Madison County Hospital Board Trustee.
He was preceded in death by his father Gene Corkrean.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Friday, May 8, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset with Father Dan Kirby officiating.
Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery at Winterset.
