Born July 22, 1896, in Winnebago, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard J. Runyard. Lived all his life in Winnebago and Rockford. Married the former Ellen Bergholt, who died in 1927, and to Elma Jones, who died in 1949.
Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Downey, Rockford; three brothers, Austin, Laurel, and Ivan, all of Winnebago; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Jones and Mrs. Flora Carter, both of Rockford, and Mrs. Olive Buse, San Diego, Calif.
Services at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9, in Julian-Poorman Funeral Home. Burial in Winnebago Cemetery.
