Funeral services were held Sunday, July 28, at 2 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Bryant officiated the service. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. Wells Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Mr. Morgan, son of the late Charlie Clifton and Beulah Edna Harrison Morgan, was born February 10, 1933 in Tutwiler, MS. He was a retired foreman for Boise-Cascade where he worked for over 25 years. He was a member of Pope Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Geneva Morgan of Pope; two daughters, Joyce Morgan Gremels of Jackson, Tenn. and Charlotte Morgan Papp of Flint, Mich.; one son, Wally Morgan of Batesville; one stepdaughter, Patricia Williams of Wynne, Ark.; two stepsons, Bobby Sweat of Brownsville, Tenn. and Howard Sweat of Jackson, Tenn.; two sisters, Shirley Morgan Stevens of Southaven and Connie Morgan Lung of West Memphis, Ark.; one brother, Charles Morgan of Burton, Mich.; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
