Don spent most of career working with electronics and instrumentation. He enjoyed building and flying radio controlled air craft. He also enjoyed gardening, camping, and working with audio/video computer equipment.
He and Eileen lived in Chicago, Denver, Billings, and made their home in Colstrip beginning in 1983. They had 3 children, Donna, Tom, Steve (Diane), 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Don was a member of Colorado Arapahoe County Sheriffs Posse, a member of United Community Church and serving on the session and as church treasurer for many years. He was active in the Colstrip Senior Citizens (past president) and served on several committees in the Colstrip Community. His faith guided him in all he did. He was a faithful servant and we know that he is resting in his heavenly home.
In 2009 he met his dear friend Dixie Cozzens and they shared their lives for the past 6 years. Their time together was a special gift, and it showed as they spent their time out and about in the Colstrip/Forsyth areas, and enjoyed many short trips together.
Don was preceded in death by his wife Eileen and his grandson Daniel. He is survived by his children Donna, Tom, and Steve (Diana), and Dixie's children Mike (Tammy) Cozzens, Macque (Mike) Bohleen, Mark (Bobbie) Cozzens and their families who were very special to him as well as his brother Larry (Sharon) Shorey.
A celebration of Don's life will be held at United Community Church, 408 Water Avenue, on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.
There will be a luncheon served following the service. Memorials may be sent to the United Community Church of Colstrip or the charity of your choice.
