Seth Dee Griffin died May 8, 2015 at his home in Ogden, Utah. Born June 12, 1925 in Newton, Utah, the fifth child of Royal Joseph and Mabel Evelyn Christensen Griffin. When he was 11, the family moved to Logan, Utah where he attended school and graduated from Logan High School. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps Cadets immediately after high school; serving 18 months during WWII, flying 21 missions over Germany as a B-17 nose gunner. He graduated from Utah State Agricultural College in 1950.

He married Barbara LaRue Chamberlin on June10, 1946 in Kemmerer, Wyo. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple July 18, 1952. Dee and Barbara moved to Ogden in 1950 and bought their home in 1952 where they have lived ever since.

Dee spent his working career as a U.S. civil servant first at Ogden Defense Depot and later at Hill Field, retiring as a production controller and contract administrator. He faithfully served in numerous callings in the LDS church; including bishopric, stake high council, stake seventies president, stake mission presidency, ward clerk, and numerous other callings. After his retirement, he thoroughly enjoyed serving as the caretaker of the Camp Shawnee stake camp. He also spent many years with his best friend Ed Wall working electrical construction jobs. Dee could build or repair almost anything, and it was a hobby as well as an occupation.

He will be greatly missed by his family.
