Muncie-Larry L. Hines, 75, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 12, 2015, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was born on October 2, 1939, in Muncie, the son of Arnold “Jack” and Virginia A. (Konkle) Hines.
Larry graduated from Muncie Central High School and later graduated from Ball State University in 1981 with a major in business. Mr. Hines had worked as a property manager for Whittenger & Company for over 30 years in addition he owned and operated the J&L Realty of Muncie. He was a member of the True Light Baptist Church, was a Free Mason, member of the Moose Lodge and had been very active in the Magic City Music Men Barbershop Harmony Society. Larry enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, travel, photography and up until a few years ago riding his Gold Wing Motorcycle with a club he was a part of.
Survivor’s include, one daughter, Heather Anderson (husband-Martin), Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Abbie, Kayla, Nolan and Jacob all of Indianapolis; one sister, Jacqueline “Sue” Hines, Muncie; long time companion, Norma Crawford, Muncie. Larry loved Norma’s family very much and considered them part of his own family. They include Dan and Melissa Crawford and their children.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Jeri Hines in 2013 and his parents.
