Louise passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2015 surrounded by family. Born in 1919 in Sparks, Nevada, she moved to Roseville as a child, with her family.

She graduated from Roseville High School in 1936. Soon after, she married Eldon Black and they moved to Newcastle in 1946, where they worked together on their fruit ranch. She started working at Loomis Grammar School in the 1950's as the school secretary where she prided herself in knowing every student's name. Louise was an active volunteer at Sutter Hospital, contributing over 35,000 hours there. Additionally, she enjoyed working in her garden. Most of all, Louise loved spending time with her four children and eight grandchildren.

She is preceeded in death by her husband Eldon Black and son David Black. She will be greatly missed by all.
