Mrs. W. Beecher Fonda - St. Albans Depot, Vt., July 29 - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Brainerd Smith Fonda, widow of W. Beecher Fonda, were held here this afternoon. Mrs. Fonda, who died at the age of 87, was the daughter of one Vermont war Governor and the sister of another. She was the daughter of J. Gregory Smith, railroad builder and Civil War Governor, and a sister of the late Edward Curtis Smith, for many years president of the Central Vermont Railroad and Governor during the Spanish-American War.
