The following children were born to Joseph and Alice: Louisa Harriet (1859), Daniel (1861), Jessie Viola (1864), Alice F (1867), Frankie Corrine (1868), Joseph Dyer (1870), and Effie Pearl (1874). Daniel and Frankie died as children. Effie married Oluf Bowen, Joseph married Maria Hegg (May 12, 1892), and Jessie's married name was Schroeder.
