Eva Henderson, age 78, of Gleason WI, formerly of Pass Christian, MS, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2015, at her home in Gleason, WI, with her loving husband, Dave, by her side.

She was preceded in death by her fathers, James Hazel Meadows and ElDee Warden, and her younger brothers, James "Jimmy" Hazel Meadows Jr. and Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Meadows.

She is survived by her mother, Cleo Warden of Long Beach, MS; her daughters, Rhonda Covington (James) Schlicher of Batavia, IL, and Karen Covington (Donny) Buley and Deidra Covington (Bryan) Malley of Gulfport, MS; her husband, David W. Henderson of Gleason, WI; his children Kim Marie (Danny) Cunningham of Arlington, WA, Glen David (Gloria) Henderson of Marysville, WA, and Anne Michelle Henderson of Rohnert Park, CA; her brother Lonnie Dee Warden of Long Beach, MS; 15 grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.

Eva was a loving mother, giving her time serving as a Girl Scout leader. She held the position of President and various other roles with the PTA in the Gulfport Schools systems throughout the sixties and seventies. She was also a Sunday School/Bible School teacher at First Baptist Church of Gulfport for over ten years. She served as the Gulfport ABWA President in 1981. Eva was a talented seamstress, a teacher's aide in the Gulfport Schools in the late 70's, worked in retail and later in bookkeeping. She was a resident of Darrington, WA, for 15 years where she started her own ceramic business, Eva's Pour House. Every year she and Dave planted a large garden and grew pumpkins for the children of Darrington Elementary School so that each child could have a pumpkin to decorate in the fall.

Eva was a loving grandmother to her 15 grandchildren. She enjoyed sharing her talents and had a love for crafting, painting ceramics, traveling, fishing, gardening, and collecting porcelain dolls.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 5 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. There will be a visitation for friends and family an hour prior to the service.
