Esther Powell, age 84, from Crowley, La., passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at her home in Navarre, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Powell. She is survived by her son, Daniel Abshire Sr. and his wife Wanda Abshire; grandsons, Daniel Abshire Jr. and Eric Abshire; great-grandsons, Daniel Abshire III and Eric Abshire Jr.; and her great-granddaughter, Karleanna Abshire.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul White officiating. Following services, burial will be in Beal Memorial Cemetery.
