Frank Chambers, 92, died on Tuesday, June 6, 2006.

Mr. Chambers was a native of Wilkinson County and was the son of the late Franklin Breckenridge and Lama Albea Chambers. He graduated from Toomsboro High School and attended Georgia Military College. He moved to Gordon where he served as a member of Gordon City Council, the Gordon School Board of Education, and served as Chairman of the County War Bonds and organized the Lions Club. He was associated with the Wilkinson County Bank for 45 years where he served as Chairman of the Board. He was the Distributing Agent of the Sandard Oil company for 38 years and served as a Director of the Exchange Bank. He was a member of the Kiwanis since 1953 and one of the organizers of the Milledgeville Country Club. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Milledgeville.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Martha Mathis Chambers of Milledgeville; two sons, Frank B. Chambers, Sr., and W. Horace Chambers and his wife Jeanette, all of Milledgeville; a sister, Barbara Newsome Turner of Milledgeville; four grandchildren, Breck Chambers and wife Leigh, W. Horace Chambers, Jr. and wife Leah, Emily Bloodworth and Zackary L. Chambers; and four great-grandchildren, all of Milledgeville.
Frank Chambers, 92, died on Tuesday, June 6, 2006.
