Katherine A. McDaniel 97 of Rosemount, Minnesota passed away May 11, 2015.

Born in Athabasca, Alberta, Canada. Recruited by the All American Girls Professional Baseball League to be a catcher for the Kenosha Comets in 1943 and 1944. Katherine left professional baseball to marry the love of her life Ray McDaniel. They married on May 21, 1945 in Corpus Christi Texas and eventually settled in Rosemount, Minnesota. They raised two boys Raymond and Robert. Kay will always be remembered for showing others love and kindness and calling everyone “dear”.

Survived by husband Ray and son Robert and wife Rebecca as well as other family and friends.

Celebration of Life Friday May 15, 2015 at 11:00AM at Church of St. Joseph in Rosemount.

Visitation one hour prior to service.

Internment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to Alzheimer’s Association and Church of St. Joseph.
