Cordie Howard Casada was the youngest of four children born to George W. Casada and Willie Rosen (Finney) Casada. He grew up in Duke, Jackson County, Oklahoma. He married Lillye Elizabeth Givens on Feb. 10, 1931 in Cordell, Washita County, Oklahoma. He was a minister for churches of Christ serving in churches in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas. The family moved to Booneville in 1944 and then moved to Great Bend, Kansas, in 1951 for two years and then moved to Texas before they returned to Booneville again in 1957. He was a minister at the Third Street Church of christ Church in Booneville and served as a Chaplain to the patients at the Arkansas Tuberculosis Sanitorium in Booneville. He died in Fort Smith, Arkansas, but had lived in Booneville for a number of years. They were the parents of 2 sons: Howard "Logan" Casada and Gordon "Bruce" Casada.
