Paul Warren Loudermilk was born on February 9, 1930 in Long Lone, Missouri. He was one of five children born to Floyd Loudermilk and Martha (Dull) Loudermilk. He departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior on April 22, 2015, at the age of 85. He was a member of Center Point Baptist Church. He joined the Army after his schooling, and served his country as a Corporal in the Signal Corps for almost 2 years during the Korean War. He was the recipient of the Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. After returning from Korea, he hauled milk from rural farms to the Kraft Plant. He later worked as a mechanic at a Sharpe’s motors. However, most remember him as a hardware salesman at Buffalo Building Supply. His advice was sought by many in the community due to his natural abilities to build, fix, and repair, in fields as varied as carpentry, plumbing, welding, glass cutting, electrical wiring, and automotive repair. Paul spent countless hours enjoying the outdoors with family and friends, while fishing, camping, and telling tales. Paul was united in marriage to Mae Emogene Highfill on July 18, 1956. He was a loving father to his three children, Cynthia Jo Loudermilk and friend Terry Brauch, Denny Warren Loudermilk, and Lisa Ann (Loudermilk) Gillispie wife of Keenan David Gillispie, Sr. He was affectionately referred to as Poppie after the birth of his only grandchild Keenan David Gillispie Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Martha, and brother Claude, and his wife Mae Emogene Highfill Loudermilk.
