Mr. Jessie Lee "Pete" Anthony, 57, of Jackson, formerly of Indianola, died February 15, 1997 at his home. Mr. Anthony was a retired Lieutenant from the U.S. Army, having served in Germany, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters: Judy A. Cruz of Maryville, Tenn., Patricia A. Murauskas of Frankfurt, Germany, Jessica A. Valles of Fayetteville, N.C., Sandy Anthony of Phoenix, Ariz.; sons: Jessie Anthony, Peter Anthony, Allen Anthony, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters: Nan (Mattie) Anthony Parker, Dot Anthony Hendon, both of Indianola, Lona Anthony Nicholson of Rolling Fork, Freda Anthony Hartness of Clinton; brothers: Ira (Bud) Anthony of Indianola, George Anthony, David Anthony, both of Phoenix, Stanley Anthony of Greenville; several grandchildren. Services were February 18 at 2:00 p.m, at Card funeral Home with burial at Indianola City Cemetery. Card Funeral Home of Indianola was in charge of arrangements.
