Jerry T. Powers 79, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Oakwood Community Living Center.

He was born January 3, 1936 to the late Henry and Beulah Waterson Powers.

Mr. Powers was a retired sales clerk at Tennessee Pipe and Dyersburg Machine Works.

Funeral services for Mr. Powers will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Donnie Ragsdale. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 11th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by 2 sons, Terry Powers (Holly) of Dyersburg, Tony Powers of Chicago, IL, 2 grandchildren, Marah Powers, Dustin Powers and 2 great-grandchildren, Emmaree Taylor and Weston Taylor.

The family requests memorials be directed to Hurricane Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church Playground Equipment Fund, c/o Anna Frances Myers, 220 Salem Road, Dyersburg, TN 38024.
