Richard Tuggle, 72, had owned a furniture store

Richard "Dick" Tuggle, 72, of Seymour, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at his residence.

A Funeral Mass was held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church Saturday with Father Dan Staublin officiating and Deacon Mike East assisting. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.

Mr. Tuggle was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour. He was the former owner of Hill Top Furniture Store in Seymour, built custom furniture and was a master at refinishing furniture. He was also a tool and die maker. Mr. Tuggle was a member of Elks # 462 BPOE, the K of C, Seymour Country Club, and a past member of the Elks Country Club. He enjoyed fishing and golf and had been a licensed auctioneer since 1979. Mr. Tuggle had also received the "Most Valuable Member Pin" which was presented to the Seymour Elks Lodge by the Grand Exalted Ruler.

Born November 5, 1939, in Seymour, Mr. Tuggle was the son of Robert and Dorothy I. Sage Tuggle. On February 20, 1960, at the Four Corners Catholic Church in Hayden, he married Lucretia J. Gerth who survives.
