Born Jan. 6, 1871, in Portland, Maine, She came to Portland when she was 12.
She was graduated from Wellesley College in 1889, and was active in the Wellsley Club, which later became part of the American Association of University Women.
She was the first treasurer of the Portland YWCA, a member of the Rockwood Bible Club, and a lifetime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Rossiter, Portland.
