WEST YORK, Ill. — Mary M. Alexander Crumrin, 88, of rural West York died at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2006, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. She was a homemaker.
She was born Dec. 14, 1917, in Melrose Township, Clark County, to John Alexander and Carrie Wood Alexander. Her husband, Robert N. Crumrin, preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1997. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Michael Miller of Terre Haute, Ind.; one granddaughter, Megan Miller and her fiance David Hassler of Terre Haute; two sisters-in-law, Geneva Crumrin of rural Marshall, Ill., and Mary Alice Alexander of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bernice Ormiston and Opal Higginbotham; and three brothers, Everett Alexander, Dean Alexander and Garnet Alexander.
She loved quilting, and had touched many family and friends through the years by making them quilts.
Services are 11 a.m. CDT Saturday in Prust-Hosch Funeral Chapel in West Union. Burial is in Ohio Cemetery, northwest of West Union. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. CDT today, and 7 a.m. CDT to services Saturday, in the funeral home.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Cemetery to assist with its upkeep.
